ICAI has released the CA Foundation syllabus for May 2023, which is valid for the May and November exams. The syllabus specifies the objectives of the topics, the units and themes you will study, the format of the tests, and the marks weightage . Students can obtain the CA Foundation curriculum in PDF format for each course from the ICAI website. Students should follow the ICAI CA Foundation’s study guide. They must also only choose books that are currently based on the CA Foundation syllabus 2023.

CA Foundation Syllabus 2023
The CA Foundation is the first level of the CA course and it consists of four subjects. The subjects included in the CA Foundation syllabus are:
Paper 1 - Principles and Practices of Accounting
This is a 100 mark paper. To pass this paper, a candidate must score at least 40%. Topics of paper 1 are as follows:
