- Course Structure: The CMA Foundation consists of 4 papers, with topics divided as shown below.
CMA Foundation Eligibility Criteria
- Eligibility requires successful completion of Class 10 (or equivalent) from a recognized Board/Institution OR
- Successful completion of the Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2) from a recognized Board or equivalent examination approved by the Central Government. Additionally, a National Diploma in Commerce from AICTE/State Board or a Diploma in Rural Service from the National Council of Higher Education meets the eligibility criteria.
- Foundation examination qualification from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India grants automatic exemption from the CMA Foundation Course (reciprocal arrangement applies) OR
- Candidates with successful completion of the Intermediate Examination from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India are granted exemption from the Foundation Course. Reciprocally, CMA Intermediate qualified candidates receive an exemption from CA’s Common Proficiency Test.
- Foundation Course exemption is granted to candidates meeting direct admission criteria for the Intermediate Course.
